Akredytacja Erasmusa - wizyta uczniów z Portugalii w VI LO - relacja 4-7 marca
Wtorek, 4 marca
O godzinie 12 autokar zabrał nas do Exploseum, gdzie anglojęzyczny przewodnik oprowadził nas po kompleksie i opowiedział o historii fabryki materiałów wybuchowych.
Sobota, 8 marca
Today is our last day in Bydgoszcz, and with it has come a wave of intense feelings.
This week spent in Poland as part of the Erasmus+ programme has been a unique experience, full of new learning, discoveries and, above all, incredible people who will mark us for the rest of our lives.
We woke up realising that this day would be marked by a farewell, but also by the opportunity to spend our last moments in that place which, even for a short time, had become so special.
First thing in the morning, we met our hosts for one last moment together. From day one they had welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality that it was hard to say goodbye. Not goodbye, but goodbye! The farewell was quite emotional, but full of gratitude for everything we had learnt and experienced and for the generosity with which we had been received.
After this emotional moment, we still had a few hours left in the day to explore Gdansk, the city where the airport was located.
After taking two trains, we arrived in Gdansk. We began by leaving our bags at a designated drop-off point and then headed to a museum about the Second World War. Here we were able to observe and reflect on the cruelties committed by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union at this sobering time in human history.
This museum was particularly emotional, as we were able to see some of the many faces that died as victims of the Nazi and Soviet regimes. Here we witnessed the worst that human beings have ever done.
We headed for the airport, where time seemed to pass more slowly. The flight wasn't until the evening, which allowed us to reflect on everything this experience meant to each of us. Sitting in departure lounge number twenty-four at Gdańsk-Lech Wałęsa Airport, we felt a mixture of happiness and sadness. Happy to have experienced something so special and unique, and sad to be leaving behind a place that had been our home for a week.
When we finally boarded the plane, we looked out of the window as Bydgoszcz was left behind. It was the end of the journey, but not of the memories. They don't disappear. We left Poland with our suitcases very full, but above all with our hearts even fuller. The friendships, the stories, the emotions of this trip will stay with us forever. Because, in the end, it's not just the places that make travelling unforgettable, but the people who were part of it!
Dziękuję, Polska!
Dziękuję, Bydgoszcz!

Erasmus Accreditation
Visit of Portuguese Students at VI LO – Report (March 4-7)
Tuesday, March 4th
Our journey began at 8:30 AM when we set off by coach to attend the Open Days at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Upon arrival, we had the opportunity to explore the university campus and take part in chemistry demonstrations prepared by students. Each participant also had time to learn about the university's educational offer and attend various workshops.
After visiting the university, we headed to Toruń’s Old Town, where we participated in a workshop at the Gingerbread Museum. We then visited the House of Nicolaus Copernicus, learning about the life and achievements of the famous astronomer. The final highlight of the day was buying traditional Toruń gingerbread and taking group photos. After an eventful day, we returned to Bydgoszcz, and our Portuguese guests were truly impressed by Toruń and its rich history.
Wednesday, March 5th
We started the day with two hours of English classes with class 3G, during which we took part in integration activities. In small groups, we had to determine the places of residence of our “neighbors” based on limited information, which allowed us to get to know each other better. Next, in four-person teams, we discussed various viewpoints and opinions, fostering the exchange of experiences and improving communication skills.
After school, we took a bus to the Botanical Garden, where we visited the Gene Bank. A guide led us through the greenhouse, presenting various plant species, including cacti and exotic specimens from different parts of the world. We also learned about the role of seed banks and why biodiversity conservation is so important.
The next stop on our itinerary was the bowling alley at Łuczniczka, where we competed in teams. As an additional attraction, we took our guests to the Torbyd ice rink. For many of them, it was their first time ice skating, which brought them great joy. After an hour of fun, we returned home with smiles on our faces and full of positive emotions.
Thursday, March 6th
That day, we set off on a trip to Gdańsk and Sopot. At 8:30 AM, we boarded the coach, which took us to the European Solidarity Centre. We then took a walk through Gdańsk’s Old Town, learning about the history of the city and its landmarks.
After a visit to the Forum shopping center, where we had lunch, we traveled to Sopot. We strolled along the city’s main promenade, reached the beach, and visited the famous pier.
Friday, March 7th
The final day began with a meeting at the Botanical Garden, from where we took a walk through Myślęcinek and the Gdańsk Forest. We then visited Bromberg Café, where we had a chance to relax and share our impressions from the past few days.
At 12:00 PM, the coach took us to the Exploseum, where an English-speaking guide led us through the complex and explained the history of the explosives factory. The tour lasted about 1.5 hours and provided us with fascinating insights into the arms industry and its impact on the region.
Upon returning to Bydgoszcz, we had a short break before our evening visit to the Pomeranian Philharmonic, where we met at 6:30 PM. The concert featured works by various composers and a violin performance. The wonderful atmosphere of the philharmonic and the musical experience were the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable week.
A week full of attractions allowed us not only to get to know our Portuguese guests better but also to introduce them to Polish culture, history, and traditions. The shared trips, activities, and meetings provided everyone with opportunities for integration and cultural exchange.
These were truly unforgettable moments that will remain in our memories for a long time!
And here are a few words from our Portuguese guests:
